SK275 Todd DeSorbo
Todd DeSorbo has changed college swimming.
Since taking over at Virginia in 2017, he’s led the Cavaliers to five straight NCAA women’s titles, six ACC championships, and a record-breaking streak that includes seven NCAA individual records, five NCAA relay records, and multiple world records. His swimmers are rewriting the sport — and now the question is shifting from “Can Virginia win?” to “Can anyone stop them?”
In this episode, we sit down with DeSorbo to talk about what’s behind UVA’s runaway success, the training philosophy that made them untouchable, and whether the men’s program is poised to follow the same national trajectory after landing a historic recruiting class featuring Thomas Heilman and Maximus Williamson.
This is a deep dive into leadership, confidence, training innovation, athlete development, and how to build a dynasty that lasts.
