SK102 Adam Chaney, Drew Kibler, Bjorn Seeliger
After a blazing fast men’s NCAA meet, we are joined by some of the top swimmers of the meet, one from each of the top 3 placing teams. Adam Chaney, a sophomore from Florida, finished 3rd in the 100bk, 9th in the 50 free, and led off the winning Gator sprint relays that together may have been the surprise of the meet. Drew Kibler, a senior from Texas with unprecedented freestyle range, followed up his Olympic success in Tokyo with his first individual NCAA title in the 200 free, while also winning championships on the Longhorn 400 and 800 freestyle relays, and finishing 6th individually in both the 50 and 100 free. Bjorn Seeliger, a sophomore from the NCAA champion California Golden Bears, put down the fastest ever 50 backstroke (20.08), became the 2nd fastest human over 50 yards of freestyle (18.27), while swimming the freestyle leg of the Bears winning 400 medley relay, and also finishing 2nd in the 50 and 100 free.
